Fibber McGee

WARNING: Photo heavy post.

Alright, so I know I promised to upload the photos from my mini vacation a few days ago, but it just hasn't been in the cards yet.

In other news...

Found the best blazer in all the land last night when Tia and I went out to the Farmer's Market. I imagine it'll be a staple in my closet from now on.

Soon I'll be starting the 30 for 30 challenge, created by Kendi Lea of Kendi Everyday - should be an interesting challenge. While I pride myself in creating interesting outfits, I'm a little nervous about this remix. During this thirty day project, I'm going to try my best not to shop. Wish me luck!

Ok, time for a nap.

Have a lovely weekend!

Outtakes: April/May 2011 Edition

Pardon my laziness during the month of April, but I am back with bloopers from the last month! Please enjoy a few of my (ahem) finer moments...

Original Post: Tea Party - So, I have fairly weak/wobbly ankles and have been known to be somewhat...clumsy. This photo was taken immediately after I almost biffed it in the grass. I'm going to give myself credit for looking so composed!

Original Post: Hoppy Easter - My loving grandma thought it would be hilarious for my dad to snap an action shot, so she started throwing pine cones at me. This is me laughing (obviously) and crossing my legs to prevent pee-pants. In addition to my not being able to walk in heels, I also have an extremely weak bladder and have been known to wet myself if I laugh too hard.

Original Post: Day Tripping: Omaha Style - While helping Tia change into her costumes for the commercial, I decided to try on a few pieces. The Batgirl cap really does suit me, don't you agree?

Now if you'll excuse me, I need to get back to what is sure to be my newest television obsession "My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding."

Have a lovely night!

Day Tripping: Omaha Style

Tia, my best friend and light of my life asked if I would accompany her to Omaha for the day for some shopping and commercial shooting. Nothing pleases me more than buying junk food for a road trip, so I happily obliged. We polished off a bag of salt & vinegar chips in under an hour. There was plenty of singing and boy talk - we giggled nearly the entire time.

Since Iowa doesn't have Urban Outfitters, that was our first stop. It was a major bust, but we still enjoyed wandering the store. Following that, Tia and I found our way to Old Market. Traveler tip: the cobblestone streets are impossible to walk on in heels and, yes, I did roll my ankle in front of traffic and it wasn't pretty. My ego is still slightly bruised. After grabbing a yummy bite to eat, we drove to the pizza shop for the commercial shoot. See, Tia creates lovely costumes for comic conventions and is fairly well known among other attendees so some guys asked her to be in a commercial. Apparently it'll be airing on Cartoon Network. Awesome, right? Anyway, she looked fantastic in everything and my hand made its film debut. I'll be sure to post a link when it becomes available.

I have a few funny photos from our trip to share soon!

Have a lovely day!
